Our December meeting takes a deep dive into the innovation and startups at the cutting edge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control across the automotive supply chain. Companies working in this segment are welcome to attend, apply to speak, or bring a demo.
As automotive development cycles compress and vehicle complexity grows, maintaining strict quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) within shrinking timeframes presents a major operational hurdle. Carmakers must predict failure points using Failure Mode Analysis, navigate evolving regulations, and bridge the gap between inline defect detection and process adjustment.
This Autotech Council meeting explores Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) across vehicle hardware, software, services, and manufacturing - as the industry shifts to advanced methods and AI for real-time in design, manufacturing, digital twins, software and supply chain sourcing. Modern automotive manufacturing increasingly blurs the boundary between QC and QA. With real-time inline telemetry and automated computer vision on the assembly line, QC inspection data instantly feeds back into QA algorithms to adjust process parameters dynamically.

While AI can help a lot in QA & QC, we have learned that it currently cannot be trusted to replace human evaluation. Complex edge cases and subjective quality thresholds still require human oversight. The Manufacturing AI market is expanding at a 46.5% compound annual growth rate globally, projected to surge from $5.3 billion in 2024 to $47.9 billion by 2030. This explosive growth reflects a deep industry mandate to achieve zero-defect manufacturing in highly complex assemblies, such as electric vehicle battery packs, or intricate wiring harnesses for software-defined vehicles. Consequently, venture capital is targeting startups in this segment and we will introduce a few on this agenda.
This meeting is going to touch on topics such as:
- Digital Twins in design and manufacturing
- Vision AI and neural networks for complex surface inspection
- Integration of AI with a human-in-the-loop paradigm
- Synthetic data generation for pre-production training
- Utilizing Design and Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis
- Software and UI testing in the software-defined vehicle
- Manufacturing & End-of-Line QA
- Continuous improvement in defect forecasting
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), ex: Ultrasonic testing of welds
- Predictive failure analytics & standardized condition reporting
Autotech Council public meetings like this one focus on introducing new companies and new technologies, through discussion, pitches, and demos, all sandwiched between lots of networking.
Meeting Format
Our public meetings are open to onsite and online attendee and start with an industry overview followed by an expert panel, and then tech demos and startup pitches. The 4-hour agenda also includes 3 networking breaks and lunch for in-person attendees.
Attendees leave our meetings having learned about the state of innovation, discovered many, game-changing startups, reviewed new technologies, and met industry colleagues who are also moving the needle in vehicle connectivity. Plus, for our onsite attendees, a handful of business cards and interesting lunch conversations.
Introduce your technology or company to OEMs, Tier1s, CVCs and tech scouts. Apply to speak by the deadline or purchase a spot if available.
In-room demo/meeting tables are available to rent for companies with relevant product or service to share during 3 networking breaks.
Relevant thought leaders, technology experts, and market analysts are welcome to apply here for a keynote, analyst or panel positions.
A company with a strong value proposition in this topic, may sponsor a speaker, a demo, or a break. Sponsorship is exclusive. Details here.
