This month, Autotech Council members open their discussion on Cleantech for Mobility and Transport to the public. Join OEMs, suppliers, startups and VCs to examine sustainability across the industry, from the factory floor to the open road.

Hot on the heels of the COP26 meeting in Glasgow, the talk of the industry is how to make vehicles cleaner, reduce carbon impact, and make the industry more sustainable in the long term. COP26 pledges should be taken with a grain of salt, but still, about $130 trillion was pledged towards green tech at the Summit - no small sum! The LA Auto Show promptly followed COP26 with a massive tilt towards new models and building competition in electric cars. And the massive US Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has funding to spur the adoption of vehicle electrification and charging infrastructure.

If the past decade witnessed a slow, steady shift towards clean-energy vehicles, the past two years - heck, the past two months - have certainly defined a tipping point where the momentum has accelerated to a gallop. Carmakers, and the wider transportation and mobility industries are rapidly changing their thinking, their designs, and their use of energy.

But EVs are just one of the most visible aspects being changed. There are many other clean technologies being introduced to the industry, from

  • Energy Opportunities & the long tailpipe
    • combustible: biofuels, renewable & sustainable fuels, ex: SAF
    • electricity: production, storage, transportation, grid re-design
    • H2: Green H2, industrial use, storage potential
  • micro-mobility, smaller form factors
  • less-polluting consumables (rubber, lubricants, brakes)
  • lighter weight components
  • longer lasting components
  • recyclable materials & batteries
  • the use of renewable materials

Join us for our next meeting as we focus on the massive, sweeping changes across the mobility industry. And we’ll introduce a number of innovators bringing new opportunities to market.
